96K Flats Forecast For Hong Kong

THE PROJECTED PRIVATE FLAT SUPPLY FOR THE NEXT THREE TO FOUR YEARS IS 96,000 UNITS, 1,000 LESS THAN THE PREVIOUS ESTIMATE. THE LANDS DEPARTMENT REGISTERED 13 LEASE MODIFICATIONS AND FOUR LAND EXCHANGES IN THE LAND REGISTRY DURING THE QUARTER ENDING MARCH, OF WHICH SEVEN WERE TECHNICAL CHANGES INVOLVING NIL PREMIUM. THE DEVELOPMENT BUREAU WILL HAVE TWO MAIN HARBOURFRONT DEVELOPMENT TASKS IN THE FUTURE. THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE IN COUNCIL TODAY APPROVED A LAND EXCHANGE WITH THE OWNER OF 23 COOMBE ROAD TO PRESERVE A HISTORIC BUILDING ON THE SITE FOR REVITALISATION.
