Founded in 1932 in Germany, Knauf Group has grown into a multinational producer of building materials and construction systems. The Knauf Group produces construction materials for drywall construction, plasterboard, mineral fibre acoustic board, dry mortar with gypsum for internal plaster and cement-based external plaster and insulating materials on the basis of glass wool and mineral wool.
As on of the world's leading manufactures of building materials, Knauf operates more than 150 production sites worldwide. It has a workforce of 22,000 in 40 countries, and in 2007 the company sales amounted to 5.5 billion Euros.
